The Azorean Jewish Heritage Foundation aims to restore and preserve the heritage of Azorean people of Jewish descent by (a) creating greater awareness through the development of educational materials and programs on (i) the culture and history of Jews in the Azores; (ii) tolerance and understanding among diverse communities throughout the Azores and the United States; (b) aiding in all aspects the restoration of places where the tenets of Judaism are practiced, including, but not limited to, synagogues and cemeteries; and (c) preserving the Jewish presence and Jewish cultural heritage of the Azores.
