Supporting its mission to preserve and promote the Jewish Heritage sites and history of the Azores region of Portugal, The Azorean Jewish Heritage Foundation will host its annual mission trip to support the restoration of the Sahar Hassamayim Synagogue in Ponta Delgada. The trip will bring you to the beautiful island of Sao Miguel where you will enjoy the sights, sounds and tastes of the Azores, learn about the Jewish and secular history of the region, enjoy the Sabbath in the newly restored synagogue, and learn about the partnership between our Foundation, the City of Ponta Delgada, and our supporters worldwide to save and promote the Jewish heritage of the Azores.

Departing Boston to Ponta Delgada on October 30 and returning to Boston on November 4th via Azores Airlines. Connecting flights from other origination cities (such as Philadelphia or New York) can be arranged.
